EN 60950-1 (Information technology equipment) and EN 60065-1 (Audio, video and similar electronic apparatus) have now been withdrawn from the list of harmonised standards under the Low Voltage Directive. These standards have been replaced by EN 62368-1 Audio/video, information and communication technology equipment.
The very latest EN 60950-1 and EN 50065-1 will provide a presumption of conformity is 20th December 2020.
There are many differences between EN 60950-1 and EN 60065-1, and EN 62368-1 some of which require additional testing to be carried out.
CEM offer a compliance assessment service to review any product with respect to EN 62368-1.
CEM can also arrange any necessary product testing.
Please be aware that any product tested to the old standards will cease to be compliant and therefore must not be placed on the market after the 20th December 2020.
