CEM has successfully gained accreditation from UKAS for the Construction Product Regulations this further expands the already impressive scope of product categories. The Construction Product Regulations EU/305/2011 covers the requirements of; organisations, staff, and their technical equipment.
For an organisation to be able to produce welded products for supply to the construction industry they must undergo and successfully pass an EN 1090 audit. Upon successful completion of the audit the organisation concerned will be certified, they will then be able to apply CE marking to the product they produce.
The certification will be issued for a period of three years, however for it to continue to remain valid periodic audits must be carried out to ensure that the production facility, staff, and technical equipment continue to adhere to the regulations.
